Wassim Azmy is a provisional psychologist and a registered member of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). He holds the requisite qualifications in psychology and is actively working towards full general registration, with ongoing training and supervision in evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

Wassim’s areas of special interest include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), schema therapy, trauma narratives, and play therapy. He is passionate about helping clients understand and reshape longstanding patterns, process difficult life experiences, and develop practical tools for emotional regulation and healing.

In practice, Wassim takes a flexible and client-centred approach, drawing from CBT to address unhelpful thinking patterns, schema therapy to target deep-rooted emotional needs, and trauma narratives to support safe reprocessing of past events. For younger clients, he integrates play therapy as a developmentally appropriate way to explore feelings, build coping skills, and make sense of their world.

Wassim works with children (via play therapy), teenagers, and adults, tailoring his approach to each client’s age, developmental stage, and unique goals. He is committed to creating a warm, non-judgmental space where clients of all backgrounds feel heard, respected, and supported toward meaningful change.
