DIRECTOR | TRINITY PSYCHOLOGY
Maryam is the Principal Psychologist and Director of Trinity Psychology. She holds a Master of Psychology with a specialisation in Organisational Psychology and brings a deep, multidisciplinary background spanning clinical, educational, forensic, and organisational domains. With years of experience supporting individuals and teams, Maryam has worked extensively with clients referred through Medicare, WorkCover, NDIS, TAC, and the legal system.

Maryam’s areas of clinical expertise include grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. She is particularly passionate about child and adolescent psychology, providing cognitive and educational assessments, school-based consultations, and ongoing therapeutic support for young people.
​
In addition to one-on-one work, Maryam has a strong interest in community-focused mental health initiatives. She regularly facilitates group therapy sessions, wellbeing workshops, and mental health retreats, creating safe, empowering spaces that foster healing, resilience, and growth. Her integrative and compassionate approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and a genuine commitment to the wellbeing of every client she supports.


Provisional Psychologist | Maddy Sewell
TRINITY PSYCHOLOGY
Maddy is a dedicated Provisional Psychologist currently completing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She brings a strong foundation of practical experience gained through her work in not-for-profit and community allied health settings, where she has supported individuals across the lifespan—including adults, adolescents, and young people from diverse cultural backgrounds—in managing a wide range of mental health concerns, particularly anxiety and depression.

With a warm and collaborative style, Maddy is passionate about delivering holistic, client-centred care that honours each person’s unique story. She is deeply committed to helping individuals and groups build insight, resilience, and meaningful, long-term change in their lives.

Maddy’s academic background includes research in education and disability, and her current doctoral thesis explores the relationship between ADHD and the menstrual cycle. This work reflects her special interest in neurodiversity, with a focus on understanding and supporting the distinct needs of neurodiverse women and youth. Maddy strives to create inclusive, empowering spaces that foster growth, self-awareness, and wellbeing.
Psychologist | John Cantwell
TRINITY PSYCHOLOGY
Meet John, a highly experienced Registered Psychologist with over 25 years of clinical practice. Throughout his career, John has supported a wide spectrum of clients—adults, children, adolescents, and families—helping them navigate life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and tailored psychological support. He has worked with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and walks of life, fostering an inclusive, non-judgmental environment where all clients feel seen and understood.

John is a trauma-informed practitioner who draws on a wide range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness practices, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. His calm and empathetic manner puts clients at ease, and he places strong emphasis on building a trusting therapeutic relationship—a cornerstone of meaningful and lasting progress in therapy.

Mental Health Social Worker | Tracy Johnston
TRINITY PSYCHOLOGY
Tracey is a highly experienced Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over 20 years of providing compassionate, client-focused counselling and psychological support. She has worked across a broad range of settings with children, adolescents, and adults, delivering tailored interventions for a wide array of challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, perinatal mental health, family and relationship issues, chronic health conditions, workplace stress, behavioural concerns, adjustment difficulties, and parenting support.
​
Tracey is known for her warm, genuine, and approachable manner, creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, build resilience, and take meaningful steps forward. She places a strong emphasis on developing a collaborative therapeutic alliance, believing that trust and connection are essential to healing and growth.
Her integrative approach draws on a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Couples and Family Therapy. Beginning March 2024, Tracey will also be offering Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), expanding her toolkit to further support clients working through trauma and emotional distress.

Psychologist | Adam Jeffrey

Adam is a compassionate and thoughtful Psychologist who takes a holistic, client-centred approach to therapy. With experience spanning clinical and forensic settings, Adam has worked with individuals across a broad range of backgrounds, tailoring his support to meet each person’s unique strengths, needs, and life experiences.

Adam has delivered both individual therapy and group-based programs, helping clients achieve meaningful and lasting outcomes through practical strategies and evidence-based interventions. He has a particular interest in supporting individuals managing anxiety, anger, and substance use, and is especially attuned to the experiences of gifted and highly sensitive people, who may face distinct emotional and social challenges.

Psychologist | Nardin Gerges

Meet Nardin, a dedicated Provisional Psychologist currently completing her Master of Clinical Psychology. Nardin brings valuable experience in supporting individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and emotional distress, with a strong passion for working with both young people and adults as they navigate life’s challenges.

Nardin takes a holistic and client-centred approach, working collaboratively with each individual to understand their unique story, strengths, and goals. Her focus is on creating a safe, respectful therapeutic space where clients feel heard and empowered to pursue meaningful change.
As a bilingual practitioner, Nardin brings advanced communication skills and a deep cultural sensitivity, allowing her to connect effectively with clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. She is committed to providing inclusive, compassionate care that honours each client’s personal values and lived experience.
Counsellor | Nancy Monir
TRINITY PSYCHOLOGY
Nancy is a dedicated Counsellor who has been supporting clients since 2016, guided by a deep passion for helping individuals heal, grow, and reconnect with their inner selves. She believes in the transformative power of therapy and is committed to empowering clients to live more fulfilling and authentic lives.

Nancy holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Psychotherapy from MESARPAC, accredited by IATA, along with Diplomas in Counselling for Children and Adolescents and International Substance Abuse and Addiction Counselling (ISAACS).
